Are you looking to learn about HMRC’s new Customs Declaration Service (CDS) and how it differs from CHIEF?
P2D is hosting training for brokers, 3PLs and traders to prepare for the migration to the Customs Declaration Service (CDS) in 2022. Register your interest today.
HMRC is phasing out the Customs Handling of Import and Export Freight (CHIEF) system on 31 March 2023. The Customs Declaration Service (CDS) will be replacing it as the UK’s single customs platform.
The Customs Declaration Service supports the UK’s trade with both the EU and the rest of the world.
HMRC will phase out CHIEF services in two phases:
30th September 2022
You will not be able to make import declarations using CHIEF.
31st March 2023
You will not be able to make export declarations using CHIEF and the National Export System (NES).
